An Airbus A380 operated by Emirates has touched down at Manchester Airport in the UK.

With the arrival of the A380, the airport has become the first regional destination for the super-jumbo.

Manchester spent £10 million in upgrades to take the plane, which will now fly daily from Dubai to the northern England destination.

Emirates Airline officials have claimed to have received enquiries from more than twenty airports across the world asking for Emirates to supply A380 flights.
