A teacher in the US state of Ohio has been sacked after using an electronic device to burn crosses onto the arms of his students.
The school board has fired the science teacher, John Freshwater, who was accused of preaching his Christian beliefs in class.
Mr Freshwater has been told he can appeal the ruling.
A report by independent school officials found that Freshwater also taught creationism in his science class and had failed to remove a Bible and other religious materials from the science classroom.
The investigation also showed that Freshwater taught creationism in his science class and told students that carbon dating was unreliable to argue against evolution.

Things are usually as they appearMr. Freshwater is a problem-maker concerned about indoctrinating young minds to a particular type of religion (Christian). He is not interested in teaching science. If he became a full-time youth minister he could expand on his beliefs and the school could hire a science teacher. But watch, he doesn’t want a solution he wants to be a martyr. |

I feel that we have let the minority control our laws for way too long. Our country was forged by people wanting religious freedom. I do agree that the teachers job was not to teach religion in the classroom. Having the bible in the classroom was not wrong unless he was teaching from it as a tool. Now, I am a Roman Catrholic and I do not believe Darwins theory, but as I said, God ghave us all free will so everyone is entitled to their own befief. |

My OpinionThere are public schools for those who want to learn from a government based curiculum (sorry if that is misspelled) Then there are Catholic and Christian schools for those who want to learn from a curiculum more based off the needs of the religios. Moral to the story? Teach where you what you want to teach is appropriate and do not do it my assaulting your students. There is a reason why there is a seperation of church and state...because those of use who don’t want to listin to religious hot air can live our lives happily and without being judged every two seconds. |

The lord is coming and judgement will be passed. Who will laugh in hell, be careful of your blaspheming. This country is doomed because of it’s lack of Christian values that built it.
