Bin Laden in message to US president

In an audio message broadcast by the Al Jazeera television network, Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden has claimed responsibility for the failed bombing of a flight from Amsterdam to Detroit on Christmas Day.
Mentioning the would-be bomber by name, Bin Laden said the 23-year-old who had attempted to blow up the plane with explosives carried on board in his underwear, was "a heroic fighter."
Bin Laden said: "The message delivered to you through the plane of the heroic warrior Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was a confirmation of the previous messages sent by the heroes of the September 11. America will never dream of security unless we will have it in reality in Palestine."
In the message, which he addressed to United States President Barack Obama, Bin Laden continued: "Safety in the United States will remain a dream for as long as there is no safety in Palestine."
He also threatened more attacks if the US continued to support Israel.
Al Jazeera said the message had been sent to it in the same way as other messages received from the al-Qaeda leader.
White House officials told CNN that while they could not completely authenticate the message, whatever the source, they said, it contained the same hollow justification for the mass slaughter of innocents.  Email this story to a friend

War and terror are both lame.Terror doesn’t end occupations or wars, it fuels and invites them.
On September 11th 2001, two planes crashed in New York with such an impact that it destroyed half the Middle East. Terror fueled the propaganda machines that enabled war machine.
The world learned a lot from the last decade.
Bombing the hate into other people’s children does not provide anyone with lasting or sustainable security. Terror and war are both failed strategies.
The global peace movement is the only force gaining any real ground. There will be no credit given to war or terror for the people’s victories against them. |

Reaction to appointment
Some Republican leaders criticized Emanuel’s appointment because they believed it went against Obama’s promises to make politics less divisive, given Emanuel’s reputation as a partisan Democrat.[3] Republican Lindsey Graham disagreed, saying: “This is a wise choice by President-elect Obama. He’s tough but fair â honest, direct and candid.“[65]
Ira Forman, executive director of the National Jewish Democratic Council, said that the choice indicates that Obama will not listen to the wrong people regarding the U.S.âIsrael relationship.[55] Some commentators opined that Emanuel would be good for the IsraeliâPalestinian peace process because if Israeli leaders make excuses for not dismantling settlements, Emanuel will be tough and pressure the Israelis to comply.[66][67]
Some Palestinians have expressed dismay at Obamaâs appointment of Emanuel.[68] Ali Abunimah of the Electronic Intifada said that Obama’s appointment of Emanuel sent the signal he would not be taking “more balanced, more objective, more realistic advice that could change the course from the disastrous Palestine-Israel policies of the Bush and Clinton administrations.“[69] Emanuel said that Obama did not need his influence to “orientate his policy toward Israel”.[70]
He also ALLEGEDLY served in the IDF at some point on a base in Israel haphazardly spun as the following.
