Two asteroids are due to whiz past the Earth on Wednesday according to NASA.

The US space agency has said the two small asteroids, which were discovered just days ago, will be visible through a telescope.

The asteroids were only discovered on Sunday by NASA at the Minor Planet Center in Massachusetts, which tracks asteroids and comets.

After determining there was no chance of an Earth collision, the center released details of the space missiles.

One is called Asteroid 2010 RX30, which is thought to be 10 to 20 metres long.

It will pass within 248,000 kilometres of Earth on Wednesday morning (US Time).

The second one, dubbed 2010 RF12, will fly by about 11 hours later at a distance of about 79,000km.

NASA says the second one is 6 to 14 metres long.
